Right — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and get a shock. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the one I use most — you drop in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here bet lay calculator — free, no signup.
What genuinely shifted things for me were the more serious bits. The probability calculator which shows you the overround, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The interface looks a bit basic — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
